The Accounting Technician role at our client is a newly created position, tasked with migrating work in-house while collaborating with external accountants and overseas finance teams.
The Position
* Manage day-to-day accounting activities
* Support the Managing Director across all areas of finance
Duties will involve:
* Accounts receivable including credit control and issuing of invoices
* Accounts Payable, processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, dealing with queries, and processing payments
* Tax returns, VAT, VIES etc.
* Bank reconciliations
* Monthly cash management
* Monthly preparation of financial reports
* Submission of group reports back to HQ
The ideal candidate:
* At least 2 years' general accounts experience
* Strong IT skills
* Ability to multi task and to work to deadlines
* Excellent communication skills with fully fluent written and spoken English essential
* Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and to manage workload
* Proactive problem-solving ability
* Detail orientated with high level of accuracy
