We are acting on behalf of our client, a multi-billion turnover company, a dedicated Data Centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to their clients, with headquarters in Dublin. They deliver Turnkey Data Centre Solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning projects. They have now grown to become the leading and most trusted company in their sector and they are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects in multiple European countries.
To aid their existing growth and market expansion, they wish to appoint: experienced HR Generalist to join their team. This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to utilize a broad range of HR skills across multiple jurisdictions. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting the business by delivering both strategic and operational HR services. Working in a small HR team, you will have the chance to gain valuable experience and develop your niche within their fast-paced business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity when working with sensitive personal data.
2. HR Monitoring and Management: Manage the HR mailbox/ticketing system, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of queries.
3. Employee Support: Provide high-level support to employees by answering queries via phone or email/ticketing in a professional, efficient, timely (SLA), and courteous manner. Action or escalate issues as needed to relevant stakeholders.
4. Pre-Onboarding: Create employee profiles in HRIS, set up employee files, and check/action required documents.
5. Work Permits and Relocation: Assist with work permit applications and coordinate interview and relocation arrangements for candidates.
6. Off-Boarding: Handle letters of resignation, manage the return of company equipment, and conduct exit interviews.
7. Employee Documentation: Generate and distribute accurate and high-quality employee contracts and documentation in a timely and consistent manner. Ensure the return and closure of employee contracts and documentation.
8. Employee Relations: Provide practical and sound HR advice, escalating to colleagues when necessary.
9. HR System Maintenance: Maintain the HR system accurately and timely, providing advice and guidance to system users within HR control.
10. Payroll and Processes: Meet deadlines to ensure payrolls and other critical people processes are completed on request.
11. Leave Requests: Process leave requests, including annual leave, maternity leave, etc.
12. HR Projects: Provide administrative support and participate in HR and/or site projects.
13. General HR/ER Queries: Manage general HR/ER queries, providing guidance, support, documentation, and information to managers and employees.
14. Performance Management: Support the Site management team in all aspects of the Performance Management process.
15. Absence Management: Monitor and manage absence records (long & short term) and liaise with supervisors/HR Managers as appropriate.
16. HR Reports: Produce weekly/monthly/ad hoc reports (absenteeism, special leave, holiday accruals, labour turnover etc.).
17. Health & Wellbeing: Support the IHT Health & Wellbeing strategy, including the Employee Assistance Programme and the rollout of new initiatives.
18. Graduate Programme Support: Support graduate programme activities, including fairs and onboarding.
19. Continuous Improvement: Participate in and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and provide cross-functional support (payroll and recruitment).
20. Professional Development: Develop and grow in your role, seeking opportunities to stretch your abilities and engage in projects to broaden your HR professionalism.
Requirements
21. 3rd Level HR, related Business Qualification OR CIPD approved qualification.
22. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
23. Experience providing HR support to EU jurisdictions is an advantage.
24. Ability to work on own initiative and participate effectively in teamwork.
25. A good work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude and approach to work.
26. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
27. Excellent numerical and analytical skills along with good attention to detail.
28. Proficient in the use of technology and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
29. Applicants must hold a valid EU student work permit or EU passport prior to application.
