Leadership and Management of Clinical Services
Our client, a HSE-supported mental health hospital, is seeking a Day or Night Clinical Nurse Manager to play a pivotal role in the daily management of this organisation.
The primary objective is to provide leadership, motivation, and ensure the effective use of resources in the provision of the highest standard of patient care, promotion, and use of the Recovery Model, and to facilitate the development of both Staff and Student Nurses while also assisting in the implementation of change within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
* Professional Conduct: Utilise accurate and comprehensive knowledge of ethical principles and code of professional conduct within their scope of nursing practice, adhering to the professional code of conduct for nurses in Ireland.
* Nursing Practice: Ensure that direction and advice given to staff ensures that all nursing practice is carried out in accordance with HIQA directives.
* Patient Care: Promote and maintain duty of care to patients, promoting advocacy for the rights of patients and serving as an advocate for patients.
* Research and Trials: Ensure that any trials, projects, or research on the ward is carried out with guidelines issued by the ethics Committee.
* Standards of Care: Monitor standards of care and assist in the development and implementation of nursing audits and subsequent action plans.
* Clinical Governance: Ensure that all nursing personnel accountable to you are competent and adhere to the current legal requirements for the administration and storage of medicines/drugs.
Requirements:
* Computer Skills: Excellent
* Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent
* HIQA Standards and Regulations: Knowledgeable
* Vocation: Strong sense of vocation
* Post-Registration Experience: In a mental health nursing environment
* Qualifications: Registered with NMBI, Registered Nurse in Psychiatric nursing
