We are looking for a highly skilledElectrical Commissioning Engineerto lead the commissioning of medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, protection relays, power quality meters, high-voltage cables, and HMI/supervision systems.
This role demands expertise in relay programming, system testing, and compliance with industry standards, ensuring the seamless execution of power infrastructure projects.
For this role you need to be based in Ireland and legally allowed to work here.
Key Responsibilities: Commissionmedium voltage switchgear, current and voltage transformers, Rogowski coils, distribution and power transformers, protection relays, power quality meters, and high-voltage cables.
Program and testrelay I/O, settings, and logic to ensure optimal system performance.
Reviewtender, design, construction, and as-built drawingsto maintain accurate records and support quality control.
Identify and communicatecritical commissioning requirements, including discrimination studies and other technical assessments.
Develop and implementtesting and commissioning procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
ConductFactory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Cold Commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Act as akey representative on-site, liaising with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and third parties to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
Supervise, witness, and approve/rejectpre-commissioning and test procedures/resultson behalf of the client.
Overseedocumentation review, sign-off, and handoverwhile maintaining comprehensive commissioning records.
Report and addresscommissioning non-conformance'sand contribute to incident investigations and customer complaints when required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in high-voltage (HV) commissioningand electrical protection systems.
Strongproblem-solving skillsin high-pressure situations.
Solid understanding ofProtection, Automation, and Control Systems.
Proficiency inindustry-standard software tools.
Experience withelectrical commissioning equipmentand processes.
Excellentattention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
