Job Title:Strategic Finance Project Manager Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Job Description: Our client is seeking a Strategic Finance Project Manager to support the delivery of finance transformation initiatives and operational improvements. This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of finance projects, aligning them with strategic objectives, and ensuring operational efficiency through effective project management. Job Responsibilities: Monitor and manage the progress of multiple strategic finance projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. Develop and maintain project monitoring tools and dashboards to track milestones and outcomes. Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints across the project portfolio, implementing mitigation strategies. Collaborate with the Group Head of Finance on finance transformation initiatives, aligning projects with long-term objectives. Analyse financial processes and governance structures to identify areas for improvement. Act as a liaison between the finance team and internal/external stakeholders, resolving issues and aligning resources. Develop and implement communication plans to drive cultural and operational change within the finance function. Ensure compliance with regulatory and policy frameworks, maintaining high governance standards. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and briefings to support adoption of new systems and processes. Experience Required: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, finance operations, or transformation roles. Proven experience managing complex, multi-project portfolios. Strong knowledge of financial processes, reporting, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in fast-paced environments. Desirable Skills: Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or PMP. Experience with finance transformation or systems implementation projects. Knowledge of public sector funding mechanisms and audit standards. Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree and relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable.
