About the Core File Services Group (CFSG)
You will be part of a team of highly talented people who are experts at industry standard storage protocols, caching, data management and data protection solutions. CFSG contributes to the core technology stack that makes NetApp an industry leader in the NAS business.
Your Responsibilities
* Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects
* Participate in the technical aspect of stakeholder management for your team
* Provide guidance in development and testing activities of other engineers that involve several inter-dependencies
* Participate in critical and/or high visibility customer support
* Work on multiple tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals
* Day-to-day tasks
* Technical Design
* Coding and Execution of projects
* Test Automation
* Debugging/Performance analysis
* Running PoCs and R&D activities
* Enforce best practices for software design and development by involving in appropriate reviews
* Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
* Resourceful in applying creative ideas to solve problems
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
* 12+ years of relevant experience
* A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
* Excellent coding skills in C/C++ and in-depth understanding of kernel fundamentals
* A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices
* 5-years of kernel programming experience
* Experience with Networking and file/cloud protocols
* In-depth understanding of Embedded systems and File systems
* Strong oral and written communication skills
