Assistant Finance Funds Accounting Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to step into a dynamic and rewarding role as an Assistant Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting fund operations while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial and investment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct in-depth due diligence on loans and alternative investments.
2. Review partnership agreements and ensure accurate financial reporting.
3. Oversee loan administration, including interest calculations and repayments.
4. Manage financial reporting and NAV reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
5. Prepare accounting journals and quarterly reports for key stakeholders.
6. Lead the year-end valuation process with external auditors.
7. Ensure compliance with financial controls while driving process improvements.
8. Take the lead on projects, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with tax advisors.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a Finance or Accounting degree.
2. Proven experience in managing a finance team.
3. At least 5 years’ experience in Fund Accounting, including Private Market and Hedge products.
4. Experience with Portfolio Management Systems is an advantage.

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger applications (e.g., Infor SunSystems).
10. Solid grasp of financial controls and regulatory compliance.
