The OpportunityThe successful candidate will join a team of experienced business development underwriters in the commercial motor team.
Key responsibilities for this role are driving new business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and underwriting fleet insurance policies.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a strong understanding of the fleet insurance market.
Role Responsibilities:Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the fleet insurance market, focusing on medium to large-sized risks.
Manage incoming broker correspondence and calls to ensure customer service excellence is delivered.Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, colleagues across the business and brokers to enhance business placement opportunities and customer satisfaction.Contribute towards continually improving quality & efficiencies within the team.Ensure file management, processing and documentation issuance is done within SLAs.
Essential ExperienceA minimum 3 years' experience in commercial motor insurance APA qualification a minimum requirement.
CIP, MDI or ACII desirable ** Experience in business development or experience in growing a portfolioCustomer relationship management, including customer/broker FTF experience Desirable Experience Experience writing medium to large-sized commercial motor risks, including HGVsBackground in other commercial products an advantage but not a requirementProficiency in i90 and Salesforce Regulatory Notice **This role is subject to Minimum Competency Code ("MCC") as provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland.
A recognised insurance qualification may be required for this position.
Appointment to this role will be subject to the requirements provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland.
This role is a Control Function (CF- 4 & 8) and is subject to F&P Standards.
This includes the requirements provided for by the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023.
