Key Responsibilities

* Category Strategy & Performance: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with business goals, driving innovation and profitable growth. Use data-driven insights to track and analyse category performance, including sales, margin, and cost, identifying opportunities for improvement.

* Market Insight & Customer Engagement: Monitor market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions. Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, using insights to enhance product offerings and solutions.

* Product Development & Innovation: Drive product innovation and develop a diverse, high-quality product range in collaboration with suppliers. Implement competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions, margin targets, and product positioning.

* Promotions & Procurement: Design compelling promotional campaigns to drive sales and customer engagement. Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships.

* Inventory Management & Supplier Collaboration: Optimise inventory levels based on customer demand, sales opportunities, and cost considerations. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality, fostering strong partnerships that enhance category performance.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Channel Management: Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to align on category goals, forecasting, and inventory management. Optimise performance across wholesale, trade, and retail channels, tailored to the product portfolio.

* Team Development: Foster the company values of loyalty, quality, integrity, respect, and inclusiveness. Build and develop a high-performing team, driving excellence and results.

Qualifications:

* Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field. 7 years in category management, preferably within raw materials categories.

* Additional Knowledge: Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
">
* Results-Driven: Focused on achieving targets and driving profitable growth, with a keen eye for data analysis and strategic recommendations.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
