About the Role: You are a key member of the senior finance leadership team in the business, where you will play a key role in shaping, supporting, and delivering on the CEO's growth agenda for the business.
Your role is to support the CEO's decision making and provide financial leadership in the business.
Preparation and presentation of full financial & management accounts.
Cash flow forecasting, annual budget preparation, and variance analysis.
Ensuring all statutory obligations are met, including the preparation and filing of tax returns within the relevant deadlines.
Working with the external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensuring a strong financial control environment exists, particularly with regard to accounting for cash within each venue.
Supporting the CEO with ad hoc projects that may arise.
Overseeing the accounts payable and payroll, which is carried out by the Office Manager.
To understand the business and shape its future, you intuitively understand that you must spend regular and appropriate time "in the business" to enable your colleagues to deliver.
You are passionate about spending appropriate time on the "shop floor" and are driven by a need to understand our customers, our products, and how they are priced, operated, and consumed, so that when you are back in the Board Room you can interpret performance, provide insight, and challenge your colleagues to accelerate the business's performance.
You don't believe in presenting problems or challenges without providing suggested solutions and know that your colleagues' insights and "buy-in" are key to successful delivery.
You are a key driver of the business planning process providing forecasts and scenario analysis to paint a picture of likely potential futures and growth paths.
Experience and Qualifications required: Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
Organised with the ability to multi-task.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Previous people management experience.
Able to develop strong working relationships.
Up to date technical accounting knowledge FRS, IFRS etc.
Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office.
