Location: Tipperary (Hybrid Working) with Travel to Nordic Regions and Spain
My client, a leading engineering company delivering infrastructural projects within the energy and telecommunications sector, seeks an experienced and dynamic Electrical Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and manage electrical projects across the Nordic regions and Spain, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, execute, and finalize electrical projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
2. Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
3. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
4. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
5. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders promptly and clearly.
6. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
7. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
8. Negotiate with other department managers to acquire required personnel from within the company.
9. Determine and assess the need for additional staff and consultants and make the appropriate recruitment during the project cycle.
10. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
11. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
12. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
13. Track project milestones and deliverables.
14. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
15. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
16. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and take responsibility for their assigned work.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
4. Experience working in the Nordic regions and Spain is highly desirable.
5. Proficiency in project management software tools.
6. Excellent understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies.
7. Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
10. Fluency in English is required; additional languages (Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish) are a plus.
