Role
Civils Manager required for a permanent position located in Finland, to join a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. This role is to manage the co-ordination of the Civil work packages on a hyperscale project.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a project team of 20+ including package managers, design managers, engineers and site supervisors.
2. Support your team in managing 10+ subcontractors with a combined package value in excess of €100m.
3. Oversee contractor’s design elements of the project, ensuring design is carried out and relevant approvals in place ahead of construction on-site.
4. Ensure BIM processes are followed by sub-contractors carrying out works under your supervision.
5. Management of Site Safety in conjunction with safety personnel (including set-up, management and close out).
6. Management of Site QA in conjunction with the Projects team.
7. Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineers/Architects to ensure client requirements are adhered to.
8. Support the tracking of project costs with the support of the project QS’s.
9. Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
10. Attend Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings as well as Handover Meetings.
11. Support close out functions of all project items including Final Account, Punch List, Safety & QA Files, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan.
12. Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are captured and processed.
13. Carry out, distribute & close out CSA snags.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civils Engineering or similar preferred.
2. At least 7 years of CSA industry experience.
3. Previous experience delivering projects from concept to handover.
4. Experience in scheduling, programming, managing subcontractors and sequencing.
5. Experience in effectively managing teams is essential.
6. Data centre experience is advantageous but not necessary.
7. Experience in the delivery of large-scale projects is necessary.
