Manufacturing Technician
To make a positive impact at Abbo, we are seeking skilled Manufacturing Technicians to join our team.
We have various openings across different areas such as Surface Mount Technology, E Beam, Packing, and Puck. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will provide technical support for equipment used in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment using technical expertise, manuals, drawings, tools, and test equipment.
You will utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output during shifts to ensure all cells are running according to cycle time, and meet specific OEE targets. You will also perform routine maintenance checks to maintain machines and production equipment's operational efficiency to desired standards. Additionally, you will monitor processes, run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and create comprehensive reports for resolution methods, familiar with asset maintenance software (Maximo preferable).
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct scheduled maintenance, diagnose faults, undertake repairs, and work with outside contractors to select, engage, and manage.
* Perform complex skilled maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
* Interpret blueprints and schematics.
* Have a good understanding of day-to-day operations for conveyors, depositors, p&p machines, and weighing machines.
* Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance related to yield output.
* Lead on maintenance and process issues and work independently or as a team member.
* Monitor production processes, run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and create comprehensive reports for resolution methods.
* Certify and train manufacturing associates in production processes.
* Evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
* Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
* Install and validate equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following established validation procedure.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum level 6 in a technical related discipline.
* Desirable: Electrical and mechanical skills.
* Must have excellent knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry, as their expertise is crucial in keeping the safety and security of all production staff.
* Experience within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
* Technical and fault-finding skills.
* Surface mount technology experience is an advantage.
