Overview
Reporting to the Head of Learning, Leadership and Inclusion, the role holder takes responsibility for the management of Sisk’s Early Careers programmes. Covering Graduate, apprentice, and student activity, the role focuses on the attraction, recruitment, engagement and retention of this key pipeline of talent into Sisk.John Sisk & Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.
Responsibilities
Ensure the management and smooth running of all Early Careers’ streams at Sisk (Graduates, Apprentices, Students – placements and interns, Traineeships). Overseeing the cyclical activities around attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development and offboarding for respective streamsOversee and manage continuous improvement of existing programme processes that can include but is not limited to:Attraction and marketing strategiesInductionWorkshop development scheduleRelevant policies related to Early Careers populationOffboardingDevelopment and implementation of professional chartership forums to support Early Careers participantsAct upon feedback from Early Careers population and internal stakeholders to improve programmesDesign / review / evolve Early Careers processes to ensure these are clear, fit for purpose and are communicated to relevant stakeholders where necessaryMaintain strong partnerships with internal communities including Early Careers participants, Mentors, Line Managers, HR, Senior Decision Makers, Steering Groups and other support functions.Build, maintain and review external partnerships such as external accreditations, universities, colleges, programme providers.Oversee Graduate rotations process.Assessment and understanding of the incumbent Early Careers population, managing performance issues and stretch for high performersTake part and support wider HR initiatives Produce regular reports from the HR database for circulation within the HR team and the wider business as appropriateAttendance at external forums to keep knowledge current in Early Careers spaceDeliver and upskill sessions for Line Manager and Mentor communitiesUpdate Early Careers Dashboards for delivery at regional construction boards and HR Leadership forumsCollaborate with the L&D Team in Sisk's Training Academy

Qualifications
Experience of Managing early career recruitment and development cycles. Relevant CIPD or HR Related Qualification (Essential)Skilled at all Microsoft tools; Word, PowerPoint & Excel in particular Professional member of relevant body (EMCC, CIPD, IITD, ICF) (Essential)
