Dublinia is both educational and fun for our visitors appealing to their varying levels of interest in Dublins past. We pride ourselves on offering a memorable visitor experience and excellent customer service for all visitors. Dublinia is seeking a Duty Manager to join our Duty Manager team. This full-time role includes overseeing all daily operational and organisational aspects of the Dublinia visitor experience to Dublinias high standards of policy and procedure. Overseeing such areas as; staff organisation, motivation and performance, ticketing, visitor flow, tours, events and living history, retail and beverage, maintenance and cleanliness, health & safety, visitor service and visitor satisfaction. Role Overview: As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of our renowned visitor attraction. You will oversee the visitor experience team, manage daily rosters, handle events, and deliver exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational expertise, and a proven ability to create an outstanding visitor experience. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of the business, including supporting events and responding to unexpected challenges. Strong organisational, communication and people management skills are essential with a proven track record in delivering to high professional standards, practicing excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the attraction to ensure efficiency and excellence. Roster staff on the day providing for required breaks and lunch breaks and ensure record kept of same. Provide break cover if required. Act as the main point of contact during your shift, addressing issues as they arise. Ensure adherence to health and safety, and operational policies. Carry out opening and lock up procedures including end of day reconciliation and cash handling. Liaise with the office team as needed and, in the event of any unusual event or problem arising record same and report to CEO as soon as possible. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support staff during your shifts. Create and manage daily staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times. Customer Experience: Champion exceptional customer service standards to enhance visitor satisfaction. Handle escalated customer queries or complaints professionally. Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events within the attraction as required to include occasional evening work. Ensure smooth coordination between teams to deliver successful events. Cash Handling and Financial Processes: Manage daily cash handling operations, including tills, floats, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate reporting and adherence to financial procedures. Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in cash handling. Performance and Standards: Monitor and maintain high operational and presentation standards across the site. Work collaboratively with other managers to drive continuous improvement. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role (e.g., Duty Manager, Front of House Manager, or similar). Proven experience in managing rosters, teams, and day-to-day operations. Background in hospitality, leisure or events highly desirable. Skills and Competencies: Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the business as they arise, including adjusting to changing schedules, tasks, or priorities. Proficiency in cash handling and financial processes. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
