About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated team in providing specialist Quantity Surveying, Engineering Planning, Design, Construction Operation & Maintenance and Management services for electricity industry infrastructure projects in Ireland and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost management function throughout all phases of a project
* Preparation of Order of Magnitude Costs
* Preparation of tender documentation
* Liaison with procurement function
* Tender assessment and evaluation
* Post Contract Commercial Management duties
* Report writing and interpretation
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor (post qualification)
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and to the highest professional standards
* Self-motivation and ability to project-manage own work and coordinate with colleagues
* Results-driven and customer-oriented approach
* Flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service
* Knowledge of main conditions of contract including FIDIC Conditions of Contract
* Ability to make quality decisions and judgements
* Logical and imaginative problem-solving approach
* Ability to work and share knowledge within a team structure
* Clear focus on delivery of high-quality work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in use of Buildsoft & Cubit software
* Experience in Civil Engineering / Utility projects
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
* Strong ability to identify project work requirements and initiate necessary work with limited oversight
