I'm working with a global aircraft leasing company that is looking to hire a group accountant for their growing team in Dublin.
Key requirements of the role include:
1. Identify trends, conduct forward-looking analysis, and perform sensitivity analysis to support executive decisions.
2. Establish and maintain key metrics to provide insights into business performance.
3. Develop financial models for Maintenance Reserve Income Recognition, Impairment, and Residual Values to guide strategic decisions.
4. Prepare month-end and quarter-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring Sox-standard controls.
5. Collaborate with investor relations to prepare and release accurate quarterly results presentations on time.
6. Provide commercial and accounting advice on structuring debt, aircraft, and lease transactions, and assess their business impact.
7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver month-end and quarter-end close activities.
8. Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller.
Necessary skills & experience:
1. ACA or ACCA qualification.
2. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
3. Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling abilities, with project management experience.
4. Experience in SOx-compliant environments.
5. Familiarity with SUN accounting software (preferred).
6. Demonstrated strong quantitative skills.
7. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
