Head of Operations Role at a Leading Public Sector Organisation

This role offers a unique blend of office-based and remote work, allowing for flexibility either from home or a pre-approved business hub on the island of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
* Monitor and manage internal and third-party delivery and performance.
* Apply active risk management to financial management and service delivery, ensuring continuity.
* Escalate and resolve risks and issues in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the Social Inclusion & Employment budget input.
* Oversight and monitoring of annual budgets and reporting to Financial Control Unit.
Service Planning & Development
* Apply a coherent, integrated programme financial management and service model.
* Contribute to clear costed business plans addressing service delivery, alignment, and improvement.
* Critically appraise, shape, and improve programme financial management, service model, and delivery.
* Promote strategic customer and stakeholder engagement.
* Assess and address changing requirements, leading change management efforts.
People and Resource Management
* Provide agile leadership to direct reports, fostering ethical practice and service excellence.
* Procure excellent staff and services.
* Plan for continuity and succession in key roles.
* Manage assigned staff and business units, ensuring clarity on expectations.
Relationship Management & Development
* Establish and maintain credible relationships with stakeholders, including business partners and customers.
* Represent clear expectations regarding company values, policies, standards, and procedures.
* Liaise with external partners and oversee outsourced work deliverables relevant to Programme Finance Unit.
