Job Title: HR Administrator / Plant Operations Specialist
Purpose of Job:
The HR Administrator/Plant Operations Specialist will assist in the day-to-day operations and employee support of the Manufacturing Site in Athlone. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating customer visits, onboarding contractors, and providing administrative support.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
* Coordinate customer visits, including site tours and scheduling.
* Support the onboarding of contractors and contingent workers, ensuring a seamless transition to manufacturing areas.
* Assist Supervisors in planning contingent headcount, screening, interviewing, and onboarding employees.
* Manage supplies essential to smooth operation, including stationery.
* Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager, such as presentations.
* Coordinate key employee calendar events, including summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
* Enhance the employee onboarding experience by overseeing on-site induction, IT onboarding, site tours, team introductions, and management introductions.
* Support Operations Supervisors in applying and managing absence management standards, disciplinary hearings, and ensuring fairness and due diligence align with company values and policies.
* Manage the Operations Time Management System for bi-weekly payroll reporting.
* Support the Operations Development Assignment Process, including advertising, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
* Support the PO Process on Oracle for Plant Operations.
* Support the HR Manager in running the Employee Forum for the Site.
Education/Experience:
* Past experience in similar roles or sectors, such as manufacturing, medical devices, administration, or customer service, is desirable.
* A Bachelor's degree in business/HR or a related discipline is preferred.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to deliver professional presentations.
* Ability to establish effective relationships at all levels is essential.
* High motivation, initiative, and computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are required.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary.
* Keenness to learn, adapt, and grow with the organization is essential.
* Familiarity with working in regulated environments, specifically medical device, FDA, or ISO registered work environments, is an asset.
