Job Title: Laboratory Technician
The role of the laboratory technician is crucial in ensuring high-quality testing services for the dairy industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting daily milk compositional testing with precision and accuracy.
Maintaining consistency in testing procedures while adhering to stringent quality control measures is essential. You will also support the laboratory management team in maintaining smooth operations within the laboratory.
This position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to interact with staff and customers in a professional manner. Basic numeracy skills and attention to detail are also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily milk compositional testing in line with established protocols.
* Follow stringent quality control measures and maintain consistency in testing procedures.
* Support the Laboratory Management team in maintaining smooth operations within the laboratory.
* Assist in delivering an efficient and high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate sample identification upon reception and take necessary corrective actions when required.
* Perform routine laboratory tasks, including cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and work areas.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Basic numeracy skills.
* The ability to communicate effectively.
* Prior experience in a laboratory or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
* A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* A professional demeanor.
Working Hours: 8-hour shifts. Availability for day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
