The current opportunity is for aspiring / proven Site Engineers to join an already established project and team. Their client book is strong and promises security, working nationally on some of the largest flagship projects, in Ireland & UK. The order book / projects to tender can boast a number of projects within construction: Residential, Commercial and Educational developments.
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Engineer to join our team in Ireland. The Construction Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or potential risks on the construction site
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders
- Collaborate with the design team to resolve any engineering or design issues that may arise during construction
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and building codes
- Manage and monitor construction budget and expenses, making adjustments as needed to control costs
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and subcontractors
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Engineer or similar role in the educational industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including project teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
