Join the V Team Life.What you’ll be doing...We have a fantastic opportunity for a for Network Supply Chain Specialist to join the team at Verizon and manage supply planning for Verizon Network Inventory.You will play a pivotal role in the success of the Planning team. Your responsibilities will include supply planning, CPFR processes, interpreting forecasts, managing purchase orders, vendor collaboration, and cross-functional team coordination. The ability to interpret data, leverage analytics to make decisions, and drive change will be essential to your success in this role.This role will assist in coordinating and managing the activities of the onsite planning team and monitor Key Performance Indicators to ensure our commitment to service level agreements is achieved. You will anticipate the impact of upcoming marketing shifts, interpret data to make informed decisions and will aim to reduce expenses and limit capital purchases to reach operational efficiencies and a proper balance of available inventory. Additional responsibilities include:Analyze purchasing, inventory planning, product delivery, quality and repair, and/or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Supports and assists within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Provide technical, tactical and execution support.Analysing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts and make recommendations based on analysis.Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost. Provides strategic advice regarding same.Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.Maintain databases of logistics information.Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.Process ownership of relevant compliance and controls activities.Project manage small scope initiatives.Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.What we’re looking for...You’ll need to have:Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.Work experience within Supply Chain or related industriesExpiernce with SAP.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Advanced degree such as a Masters in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong business acumen and understanding of relationship management.Supply Chain or Planning Experience, preferably in a telecom or high-tech environment.Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office and Google applications, coupled with strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.Preferred experience in applying analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining, and statistics to validate and refine models and algorithms to optimize the supply chain.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.Where you’ll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours37.5Equal Employment OpportunityVerizon is an equal opportunity employer.
