Role Overview
The successful candidate should have appropriate surveying experience and be willing to work as part of a successful team in a well-established building consultancy. The role will suit an ambitious and enthusiastic individual wishing to advance their career. As a building surveyor, you will be responsible for working on your own initiative under directors and performing professional building surveying and other ancillary tasks as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of 2D & 3D drawings for Civil & Structural Engineering projects with a focus on site services.
2. Produce reinforced concrete rebar details and schedules.
3. Produce concrete, steel, masonry detailed drawings and drainage layouts.
4. Preparation and review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.
5. Contribute to the project team on a day-to-day basis.
6. Direct communication and meetings with clients and outside professionals including architects, engineers & contractors.
7. Implementing the company’s ISO policies and procedures.
Experience & Qualifications
1. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a design consultancy or design-build contractor.
2. Experience developing detailed design models and drawings for construction and preparation of reinforcement drawings and schedules.
3. Design experience on building projects (residential, mixed-use developments, industrial and commercial) in the public & private sector.
4. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
5. Ability to achieve tight deadlines working as part of a team.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills.
