We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our teams in CHO6, Dublin South, currently based in Sandymount and Leopardstown.
Contract Type: Permanent, full and part time contracts.
Salary Scale: €57,771 – €68,385 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days per annum.
Overview of the Post:
To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service and/or a special school (to be specified). This will include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities attending our service. Services are provided to children aged 0 – 18 years with physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities, and/or developmental delay.

The successful candidate will have:
Candidates for appointment must:
1. Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
2. Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
3. Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
4. Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
5. On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
6. Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
7. Candidates must be eligible to work in the State.
8. Minimum 1 year post qualification experience of working with families and children with a range of physical disabilities/developmental delays.
9. Experience of working with children 0 – 18 years and their families.
10. Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
11. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a children’s disability service.
12. Experience of multi/interdisciplinary team working.
13. Experience of supervising students/therapy assistants.
