The candidate will be expected to identify and develop business partnerships, while also boosting direct and associated investment from enterprises into the Centre.
The ultimate ambition is for Leanovate to continue to scale its industry membership, add value and significantly grow bespoke research revenue.
Success in this role will be measured directly by an increased level of industry membership and the funding of Learnovate research programmes by industry members.
The post holder will deliver on assigned revenue and profit targets for their area of responsibility.
The Membership Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Membership Services, Learnovate.
They will be self-driven, have a strong technical and business experience as demonstrated by previous examples.
They will work with the Learnovate team to coordinate and align Learnovates membership development efforts with national and international enterprises, government agencies and start-ups.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to deliver to revenue generation and engagement targets.
They should independently manage and prioritise a varied workload, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
They should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with Industry and the academic community alike.
They should be able to work to a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a rapid and multifaceted environment.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract The specific purpose of this role is to lead the development and execution of Learnovates industry membership strategy, driving revenue growth through new and existing commercial partnerships.
This will include identifying and convert opportunities for bespoke and collaborative research funding aligned with Learnovates strategic objectives.
These responsibilities are key deliverables of Learnovate's current Strategic and Business Plan, and whose longer-term requirements have yet to be evaluated.
Employment is not offered on an indefinite basis, as your role is tied to completion of these deliverables.
The activities for your role are funded through Enterprise Ireland and therefore the funding not part of the core funding of the university and will cease in a finite period.
As such, the contract will terminate upon completion of the work in which you are engaged or if the work ceases as a result of the funding stream being withdrawn or terminated by Enterprise Ireland.
The Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977-2015 shall not apply to your dismissal consisting only of the cessation of the said purpose.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-6), Salary Scale (€69,545 - €110,118 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
