The Role
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and competent, with more than 5 years' experience working across various industries and on diverse projects, preferably of large scale.
The successful candidate will work as a Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist on our large-scale data centre project, projected to last around 18 months. This role could be offered either as an 18-month contract or a permanent position.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Producing drawings for construction teams using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp from start to finish.
* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure site work is constructed according to drawings.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, regulations, standards, and good practice.
* Conducting project feasibility studies and reporting back to management.
* Providing advice on planning issues, energy conservation, and fire safety.
* Complying with relevant legislation and regulations on Health and Safety and codes of practice.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Educational qualification in Architectural Technology.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Sketchup.
* Strong design and detailing experience with excellent technical and site knowledge.
* Experience working with Irish Building and Planning Regulations.
* Experience in preparing planning, tender, and construction details, and documentation.
* Experience working on large-scale projects, commercial, industrial, and/or public sector works.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to use initiative and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
