We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Kells, Meath.
About the Role:
This role is critical in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations and ensuring a high standard of service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management:
o Assist in the day-to-day management of the store.
o Ensure smooth and efficient operations, maintaining high standards of service.
o Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and stocktaking.
* Team Leadership:
o Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
o Lead, motivate, and manage a team to deliver excellent customer service.
o Schedule staff shifts and manage timekeeping.
* Customer Service:
o Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
o Ensure the team provides outstanding customer service at all times.
o Implement and maintain customer service standards.
* Sales and Marketing:
o Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet targets.
o Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
o Monitor sales performance and provide reports to the General Manager.
* Financial Management:
o Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
o Monitor and control expenses within the budget.
o Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures.
* Health and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
o Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the retail or hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
