This leadership role reports directly to the CEO, with overall responsibility for driving business growth, market expansion, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team to achieve sales performance targets.
* Foster and nurture strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business, while attracting new key strategic clients.
* Ensure the highest standards of customer experience and satisfaction, acting as a key contact for significant customers and partners.
Strategic Business Development
* Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive business development strategies that align with company goals and industry trends.
* Identify, assess, and prioritise growth opportunities, new markets, and strategic partnerships, and lead initiatives to capture these opportunities.
Collaboration and Internal Coordination
* Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and project handovers.
* Coordinate with the engineering and technical leadership to ensure alignment between customer needs and innovative solutions.
Financial and Performance Accountability
* Work closely with the CEO and CFO to establish sales performance metrics in alignment with business goals and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
* Manage and track business development budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources and ROI.
Leadership and Mentorship
* Inspire and lead by example, fostering a culture of innovation, integrity, collaboration, and excellence within the business development function.
Experience:
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or customer relationship management, with at least 5 years at a senior management level.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Experience in B2B sales, preferably with exposure to Med-device manufacturing or high-tech industry sectors.
