Senior Occupational Therapist Role Purpose
This post is initially to work on Assessment of Need assessments for children and the post will transition fully onto the CDNT team.
The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-18 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team.

Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in the Assessment of Need (AON) process as assigned, working as part of an AON sub team within the CDNT for initial period.
2. Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and review of occupational therapy intervention programmes for children supported by the Children's Disability Network Team.
3. Attend and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated goal setting and support for children and their families.
4. Prioritise caseload based on clinical needs of the child and as agreed with the family through an IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan).
5. Document all assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and reports in accordance with professional standards.

Requirements
* Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Studies or equivalent qualification.
* Professional Qualifications received outside the Republic of Ireland including the U.K must be validated by the Validation unit of CORU prior to commencement of employment.
* Registered with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
* Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists.
* Minimum of three years satisfactory post qualification experience.
