Finance Clerical Administrator – Ballina, Mayo
Our client is looking for a Finance Administrator on an initial 12-month contract basis. There are likely opportunities for contract extensions with this position. The successful candidate will work with the finance team and will provide a range of supports to the Finance team and internally in my clients’ operations.
The role is based in Ballina with a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
1. Assist accounts payable with supplier invoice processing and payments, creditor statement reconciliations and support staff with procurement queries and the provision of purchase orders.
2. Assist with the checking and processing of Staff Travel & Subsistence payments in accordance with policies and procedures in place.
3. Assist with the maintenance of Travel Desk.
4. Dealing with customers at a variety of levels through various means of communication.
5. Assisting in the development of policies from time to time.
6. Operation of the financial system and other local systems.
7. Use of all technology and equipment as assigned.
8. Complete all essential training successfully.
9. Any other duties that may be assigned as part of the overall functioning of the Finance Unit.
Experience
1. Highly organised with excellent clerical and organisation skills and attention to detail.
2. Ability to work with confidentiality and discretion to a high degree is expected.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
4. Ability to work towards tight deadlines.
5. Effective numerical and literacy skills.
6. A thorough knowledge and understanding of office processes and equipment is important and PC proficiency is vital.
