An exciting new role has come in with our client, located in Dublin 8, looking to recruit for an Operations Supervisor. A great role for someone coming from a Hospitality or Tourism background to progress their career in this organisation.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this post is a full-time permanent contract. Rotas are based over seven days, including early/late shifts and weekends.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the Operations Manager.
2. Lead and support the operations teams (Verger, Events, and Welcome Desk) to ensure the smooth daily management of the charity's operations.
3. Assist the Welcome Desk Supervisor to ensure the Welcome Desk team delivers a warm welcome to all visitors.
4. Ensure proper implementation of the Cash Handling policy.
5. Assist with daily cash counts and daily finance reports.
6. Take charge of in-house events, with further opportunities to be the Event Supervisor for various events and services.
7. Address all visitor queries or concerns in a pleasant manner.
8. Motivate team members to perform at their best.
9. Continuously look for opportunities to improve our operations.
10. Occasionally cover, where necessary, at Welcome Desk, Gift Shop, Events, which includes till operations, cash handling, till counts, stocking, and other retail activities as directed by the Operations Manager.
11. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
12. Complete appropriate training in EPOS, First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling, and other relevant courses.
13. Manage the Audio Guide devices, ensuring that they are in good working order.
The Successful Candidate should meet the following criteria:
1. Qualified or experienced in Tourism, Events, or Hospitality management.
2. Previous cash handling experience.
3. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with a strong customer focus.
4. Excellent PC skills with advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
5. Flexible, innovative, and accurate.
6. Prepared to work on your own initiative and to support the wider team.
7. Strong planning/organising and work management skills.
8. Strong analysis/problem-solving and appropriate decision-making skills.
9. Able to work to deadlines and move several projects forward at the same time.
10. Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work in a timely manner.
Applicants will be obliged to complete Garda Vetting before commencement.
This role would suit a recent graduate or an applicant looking to develop their skills further by working alongside experienced industry professionals.
