Job Role – Counsel, EMEA Commercial
We are seeking a talented, experienced commercial lawyer to join the Omnissa Legal Team as Counsel, EMEA Commercial. This person will work with the EMEA Commercial Legal Lead and provide guidance to the EMEA Deal Management and Sales Teams to ensure that all agreements are drafted and negotiated in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. This person will work with their EMEA colleagues, the global Omnissa Legal Team, and stakeholders across the rest of the company to understand key issues and challenges in the commercial space, as well as stakeholder requirements, that impact the company’s agreements, in support of achieving the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements with customers (including but not limited to licensing of entitlements to on-premises software and cloud-hosted services, as well as consulting and professional services agreements), and agreements with channel partners, in coordination with the Omnissa Deal Management Team and other internal stakeholders as needed.
* Provide legal advice and support to Deal Management and Sales Ops teams with regard to customer requests for modification to Omnissa standard terms, and deal-related questions, including but not limited to Omnissa business policies and guidelines.
* As required, provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on sales contract-related matters, including interpretation of contract terms, addressing customer concerns, and resolution of disputes.
Qualifications:
* Qualified to practice law in France, or in another European jurisdiction with substantial experience in French law
* Minimum 8 years of experience negotiating software and cloud services licensing agreements, and related professional services agreements at a B2B company. In-house experience in a United States-based technology company preferred but not required.
* Experience in negotiating public sector agreements is a plus.
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex legal and commercial concepts clearly and concisely.
* Fluent in English and French.
* Ability to identify and mitigate legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to complex issues to support Omnissa corporate strategies.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
