Assistant Psychologist
We are recruiting for an Assistant Psychologist in the Psychology Department. This is a 2-year contract post.
Assistant Psychologists are managed and supervised by St Michael’s House Psychologists, while working alongside PICs and frontline staff in our Adult Services. They contribute to psychological and positive behaviour support interventions, including:
1. Carrying out systematic observations and functional assessments;
2. Recording, monitoring and evaluating interventions and training programmes;
3. Contributing to evidence-based clinical formulations;
4. Assisting with staff and service-user training programmes;
5. Conducting research literature reviews;
6. Assisting with research and evaluation projects.
Essential Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree (or Equivalent) in Psychology at 2.1 level or above from a PSI-accredited Psychology course.
2. Experience and interest in supporting adults with moderate, severe or profound Intellectual Disability.
3. Full, clean Driver's License.
Desirable Requirements
1. Experience of working with adults or children who have ASD and an Intellectual Disability.
2. Training and/or experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
3. Strong IT skills.
4. Masters level qualification in Psychology.
5. Research and evaluation skills.
