We are currently expanding our operations and are seeking a Senior Software / Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Wexford Town.
The Senior Software / Commissioning Engineer will develop information systems by designing, developing and installing software solutions.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the full software development lifecycle.
* Assist with the commissioning of new equipment / projects.
* Lead coding and system design efforts.
* Analyse data to coordinate system installations and modifications.
* Facilitate seamless communication between mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
* Lead software validation and testing processes.
* Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams on project updates and proposals.
* Develop project plans and deliver innovative technical solutions.
* Maintain automation equipment in excellent condition ensuring consistent quality, output and yield.
* Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
* Lead and implement process improvements to achieve more efficient operations.
* Order and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
* Cross train technicians as required.
* Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes.
Requirements and skills
* Experience with Beckhoff PLC, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Emmerson programming is a plus.
* A 3rd-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
* Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
* Excellent technical problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team approach.
* A passion for building high-performing engineering teams and delivering top-quality projects.
* Full Clean Irish Driving Licence.
Skills/Attributes:
* Systematic & structured troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
* Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
* Adherence to change management procedures and cGMP requirements.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* High level of safe working practices and awareness.
* Computer literate with MS Office skills.
* Experience in high volume automation / robotics required.
* Experience in a Healthcare medical device manufacturing environment highly desirable.
* Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision.
* Understanding of Process Capability.
* Experience in leading process improvement projects in medical device environment.
* Experience in FAT, SAT, IOPQ of automated assembly lines.

Competitive salary €50,000 to €70,000.

Pay: €50,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
