Our client, one of the leading Irish-owned companies specialising in the provision of complete Hard Services Maintenance & Facility Supports, is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator Manager to join the team based in Dublin 12.
This person will be a member of the senior management team, with an expectation to be involved in how the business works and runs. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ever-expanding company that will afford you career progression opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion.
2. Compiling precise and well-organised estimates and proposals promptly.
3. Ensuring tenders are submitted and processed on time, following up on tenders and documents, and recording any feedback.
4. Issuing tender queries and preparing tender reports.
5. Negotiating prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
6. Overseeing the maintenance of the cost database.
7. Building relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
8. Keeping informed with developments in the industry.
9. Participating in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the documents produced by the Estimating Department.
10. Managing & mentoring members of the Estimating Team.
Requirements:
1. 4+ years’ experience working as an estimator with a mechanical contractor.
2. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and in at least one of the more widely used Estimating Platforms.
3. Attention to detail and high-quality standards are required.
4. Ability to identify potential risks on a project.
5. Be a motivated and highly dependable individual.
6. Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
7. Full drivers’ licence is advantageous.
