Job Description:
Emydex Technology is a leading supplier of factory floor MES software solutions to meat, fish, and food processors around the globe. Our company market offices in Dublin, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand support our customers located in over 20 countries worldwide.
In line with our continued growth and expansion, Emydex is seeking an Application Support Technician to join our team, supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our software solution.
The Candidate
The perfect candidate will assist in providing resolution to Helpdesk Support customer service requests in a timely manner and demonstrate technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills. This role requires an individual who is highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure while handling multiple assignments simultaneously and learning new skills and procedures.
This role is a hybrid position, split between your home office and our Blanchardstown Head Quarters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Interact with customers via telephone, e-mail, and the web, providing technical support and problem-solving abilities.
2. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer problems while formulating plans of resolution.
3. Assist in identifying resolution gaps at the helpdesk and author knowledge base submissions accordingly.
4. Provide in-depth root cause analysis to the Application Support manager for all issues resolved.
5. Assist in evaluating new services, processes, and technologies introduced at the helpdesk.
6. Escalate unresolved issues to implementation team programmers or the Application Support Manager as necessary.
7. Work with staff to promote, develop, and maintain strong customer service values.
Skills Required:
1. Working knowledge of .Net development in C# & SQL - this is essential, as a technical test will be given at the interview stage.
2. Previous Application Support Experience - 5+ years' experience.
3. Fluent English, both verbal & written.
4. Excellent communication, literacy, and interpersonal skills.
5. Knowledge of Food Processing Industries would be advantageous but not necessary.
