Catering Manager Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
The Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and growth of various services, including kitchen operations, onsite restaurants, hospitality events, and vending.
This role involves delivering customer-focused services that exceed expectations and drive business growth. The manager must also prepare accurate financial information to track service performance and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain effective communication throughout the service.
* Monitor staff and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Foster a team approach that promotes high staff morale.
* Monitor and record team training and progress.
* Plan, organize, and control all aspects of services and activities within client and company guidelines.
* Manage staffing rotas to meet trading patterns, business growth, and operational requirements.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Ensure equipment, fixtures, and fittings are maintained and safe for use.
* Control cash handling and ensure all staff adhere to the Cash Handling Policy.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Positive attitude and keen eye for detail.
* Experience in business management or a related field.
* Demonstrates high-quality customer service skills.
* At least one year of experience at a Catering Supervisor level or above.
