Experience & Background
1. Minimum 4-5 years' experience in corporate finance, banking, investments, or other relevant experience;
2. ACA / CFA qualified or equivalent;
3. Proven project management skills and experience and must enjoy managing a wide range of multiple tasks/projects at any one time;
4. Strong capability in financial modelling;
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - especially in report writing and PowerPoint presentations;
6. Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills;
7. Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with both colleagues and clients;
8. Able to build and develop strong relationships within your own professional network to help originate deal opportunities.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
9. Manage M&A and Debt Advisory projects (with support from and reporting into Associate Director/ Director / Partner) including being the day-to-day point of contact for clients;
10. Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution;
11. Leading and managing the delivery of marketing documentation, as well as pitch materials and client proposals;
12. Directing and managing junior colleagues, analysts and support staff on transactions, including reviewing their work;
13. Coaching and contributing to the development of junior team members;
14. Set, monitor and control project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements;
15. Taking responsibility for, and proactively assisting business development efforts, including pitching for new work.
Your team:
KPMG offers Ireland's largest dedicated corporate finance practice with a team of over 140 professionals. Our combined expertise enables us to assist clients in dealing with a myriad of challenges and opportunities they face, no matter how complex.
You will work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates, primarily in the Munster mid-market to help clients across different sectors and coverage areas to achieve their strategic objectives of buying, selling or raising capital from initial strategic review to successful completion. You will be fully integrated within the all-Ireland corporate finance practice. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates to join a growing and ambitious team.
