Position Summary:
Reporting to WW Director, Logistics & Customer Fulfilment, Pure Storage is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and manage EMEA Logistics Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes and managing operations efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, management skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
* Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Monitor and analyze key logistics performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
* Manage and lead the logistics team, providing direction, support, and training.
* Develop contingency plans to address potential logistical challenges.
* Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize logistics operations.
* Negotiate contracts with logistics providers and third-party vendors (regional).
* Maintain accurate records and reports related to logistics activities.
* Freight bill invoicing and reconciliation.
* Partner management and collaboration.
* Sales/support opportunities review and approvals.
* Direct reports supervision, coaching, and appraisal.
Requirements:
* 10+ years’ experience in Logistics Management.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation management, and warehousing.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Enthusiastic and self-starter.
* Manage, prioritize and work well with cross-functional organizations.
* Ability to work outside of normal business hours if required (on-call pager).
* Knowledge of Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning systems.
* Extensive experience using office administration products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Google products.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CILT).
* Familiarity with sustainable logistics practices.
* Familiarity with sustainable logistics and trade compliance practices.
