R+D Process Technician - Galway - 12 months - onsite
As a R+D Process Technician, you will Support development of medical devices, process development and setting up pilot lines for high volume manufacturing.
This position would be well suited to a candidates with experience around Stents/ Catheters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Aid in the development of device design and manufacturing processes.
* Perform mechanical testing to determine device and component performance.
* Oversee stocktaking and procurement of equipment, components, and consumables necessary for the production line.
* Train new operators as needed.
* Facilitate the transfer of the product to a contract manufacturer when required.
* Contribute to the verification and validation of new product designs.
* Assemble products for verification and validation testing.
* Engage in continuous personal development to enhance technical and non-technical skills.
* Become proficient in the manufacturing process and relay all details to the broader team.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* At least 5 years of experience in medical device/catheter manufacturing or a related field.
* Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach.
* Self-motivated, capable of managing time, multitasking, and meeting deadlines independently and proactively.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarize observations, provide progress updates, and report issues effectively.
