Job Description:
Automation Engineer - County Waterford
This is a contract posting of 12 months' duration.
1. Monitor the quality and efficiency performance of assigned product lines, and provide support in driving continuous improvement through process development, root cause analysis, and systematic problem solving.
2. Deliver automation projects from quotation through to product manufacture.
3. Support design, buy-off, installation, and validation of automated production lines.
4. Manage assigned project budgets; liaise with customers and contractors as required.
5. Process Characterization / Optimization (DFMEA’s, PFMEA’s, DOE’s, MSA's etc.).
6. Lead systematic technical root cause investigations.
7. Support production line ramp to achieve mature production targets.
8. Develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards efficiently for new and existing additive manufacturing processes.
9. Drive continuous improvement projects.
10. Support technical training.

8. Proficient in MS Office applications and MS Project.
9. CAD experience desirable.
10. Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar discipline.
11. At least 3-6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (high volume automated assembly experience would be an advantage).
12. Willingness to travel as necessary to support equipment buy-offs and training at vendor/customer sites.
