Assistant Accountant Opportunity
Join a dynamic finance team in a growing public sector organisation as an Assistant Accountant.
Role Overview
This is an interim opportunity covering maternity leave, offering the chance to develop accounting skills and knowledge in a diverse business environment with a turnover of over £1.2bn per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver day-to-day management accounting and reporting requirements.
* Develop devolved budgetary control, supporting budget holders with reports and variance investigations.
* Plan and manage finance section operations, ensuring transaction processing meets organisational targets and procedures.
Requirements:
* AAT, IATI, or CCAB final examinations (or equivalent).
* Relevant Bachelor's degree with accounting as the major component (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, including budget setting, forecasting, and statutory accounts preparation.
* Experience in business process improvements, team management, and integrated financial systems.
