**Job Title:** Support Manager (with Cooking Duties)
**Location:** Merville
**Working Hours:** 4 days per week
**Rate of Pay:** £13.65 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Manager to join our team in Merville. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Supported Sheltered House, while also providing exceptional support to our residents.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality care and support, as well as excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the Housing & Support Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the house, including monitoring resident needs assessments, risk assessments, and support plans.
In addition to your administrative duties, you will also be responsible for planning and cooking nutritious meals for up to 10 residents, taking into account any special dietary requirements. You will draw up healthy and hearty weekly menus for residents and ensure that all employees within the house provide the highest quality of support.
You will act calmly and compliantly in emergency situations, such as contacting emergency services in a medical crisis. You will also assist the Housing & Support Manager in the application and development of policies and procedures to ensure the service meets and exceeds Supporting People requirements.

Key Objectives:
* Assist the Housing & Support Manager in overseeing the management of the House to ensure an efficient, caring and compliant service is delivered to Residents.
* Monitor Residents Needs Assessment, Risk Assessments and Support Plan processes.
* Monitor compliance with Resident Agreements and advise the Housing & Support Manager of non-compliance issues.
* Plan and cook nutritious meals, taking into account any special dietary requirements as necessary.
* Draw up healthy and hearty weekly menus for Residents.
* Encourage a caring, homely and secure environment and ensure all employees within the House provide the highest quality of support for Residents.
* Actively manage Health and Safety and compliant hygiene safety standards within the House.
* Assist the Housing & Support Manager in the application and development of policies and procedures to ensure the service meets and exceeds the Supporting People requirements.
* Be the Abbeyfield & Wesley representative in the House for Visitors and prospective Residents.
* Deal calmly and compliantly with emergency situations, such as contacting the emergency services in a medical crisis.
Essential Criteria:
* Ability to plan and cook meals for up to 10 people.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A desire to encourage dignity, respect and quality of living for elderly people.
* Proven ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to keep records and monitor stock and purchases.
* Experience of working in, or knowledge of, a supported housing/health & social care environment.
Desirable Criteria:
* Food Safety qualification.
* First Aid in the workplace qualifications.
* A willingness to achieve necessary qualifications to further develop your expertise and standards of service.
