Job Description:
The Structural Engineer is a key position within Cpac Modular Limited, playing a crucial role in overseeing the control of the Engineering Department.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and Analysis: Prepare designs for structures, including modular buildings, prefabrication, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA). Conduct structural analysis and design calculations, preparing detailed design reports, sketches, and drawings.
* Project Coordination: Collaborate with BIM modelers and technicians to prepare BIM models and drawings aligned with client requirements and design intent.
* Project Deliverables: Prepare project submissions to relevant authorities and review drawings, calculations, reports, and other deliverables.
* Design Management: Coordinate with other design disciplines and manage design processes to ensure timely completion.
* Clients and Stakeholders: Liaise directly with clients, architects, and design team members to build long-term relationships.
This role encompasses all engineering activities conducted by Cpac, including construction sites throughout Ireland, production facilities, and offices at Dunshaughlin HQ. Provide professional advice, guidance, and support to the Cpac Design team.
Requirements:
* Experience: 5+ years post-graduate experience as a structural or civil engineer.
* Modular Construction: Experience in modular construction and structural engineering in both construction and manufacturing would be advantageous.
* Leadership: Proven leadership skills, including leading and developing teams.
* Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with membership of a professional body.
