About Us
We're National Broadband Ireland, delivering Ireland's largest telecommunications project. Our goal is to transform the country's broadband landscape through quality, affordable high-speed broadband for all parts of Ireland where services are not available commercially.
The Challenge
We aim to deliver high-speed broadband to over 1.1 million people and 569,000 premises in Ireland. No matter how remote or rural, no town, village, or community will be left behind.
Key Objectives / Accountabilities:
* Safeguard NBI's digital assets and identify vulnerabilities.
* Implement security measures and assist the ICT Team in monitoring Cyber Security tools and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and enhance our organization's security posture with the Risk and Compliance Manager and ICT Delivery Manager.
* Monitor security tools, network traffic, logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential threats.
* Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediations.
* Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Stay informed about emerging threats, industry trends, and security technologies.
* Participate in incident response activities, including analyzing and mitigating security incidents.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security principles.
* Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
