Optimize Recruitment is proud to be partnering with our client, a leading environmental consultancy specializing in water management, dewatering, and geological services.
With a strong presence in the private sector, they work on high-profile projects across the greater Dublin area, providing expert solutions for groundwater control and environmental protection.
We are seeking a hands-on, adaptable Field Technician to join their team. This is a site-based role involving the installation, operation, and maintenance of dewatering and water treatment systems on construction and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will be practical, resourceful, and comfortable working in outdoor environments with heavy machinery and technical equipment.
Working under the guidance of an experienced project manager, duties will include:
* Support dewatering and water treatment projects on contaminated and non-contaminated sites
* Install and maintain wells, pumps, hosing, and piping systems
* Conduct water sampling and testing for environmental monitoring
* Set up and commission settlement tanks, sensors, and telemetry equipment
* Work alongside heavy machinery, including excavators, forklifts, and tracked vehicles
* Occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights (full training provided)
* Assist in electrical and mechanical setup where required
* Ensure project tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
* Work independently on-site after training while maintaining communication with the team
The successful candidate will have:
* Full European driving licence (Category C/C1/CE is a plus)
* SOLAS Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (training provided if needed)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Comfortable working outdoors in a physically active role
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
* Relevant trade or 3rd level qualification
* Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential – training will be provided
