Caredoc was founded in 1999 in Carlow as the first GP Co-Operative in Ireland. Caredoc is a GP Out of Hours Service, working in partnership with GP's, HSE and the Department of Health. The aim of Caredoc is to provide a high quality, easily accessible family doctor service for urgent medical problems outside of normal surgery hours. Description
An opportunity has come up for the following position within Caredoc:
Telephone Triage Nurse (based in Carlow, Waterford, Wicklow, Wexford and Cashel)
(Permanent contracts of 19, 24.5 and 30 hours per week)
Duties to Include:
* Providing nurse triage in accordance with protocols and guidelines.
* Responsibility for the management of care for each patient.
* Excellent communication and case management skills.
* Ensuring the recording of accurate notes of triage consultations.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide a high-quality patient-led service.
* Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team within Caredoc.
* Liaise with other medical services – Acute Hospitals, Ambulance Service as required.
Hours to include:
* Evenings
* Bank Holidays
* Overnights
Applicants must possess the following:
* NMBI membership.
* Five years post-qualification nursing experience.
* Proficiency in the use of IT systems.
* Proven ability to work within a team.
