Cpl Healthcare are currently accepting applications on behalf of our client for a Senior Grade Psychologist to work as part of a busy interdisciplinary team in the CHODNCC area.
The senior psychologist will have responsibility to provide psychology services for children experiencing complex and enduring mental health presentations who are resident in community residential facilities as well as being a core member of the interdisciplinary team involved in developing and delivering rehabilitation and care to this cohort of clients.
This position will be offered on a full-time permanent contract.
Role & Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the delivery of professional psychology services appropriate to the post in line with best practice.
* Work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct, and clinical governance.
* Formulate and implement plans for psychological therapeutic intervention or management based on an appropriate framework, working in home and clinical settings as appropriate.
* Provide clinical supervision to staff grade Psychologists and student psychologists.
* Engage in the education of colleagues, student Psychologists, Service Users, and other health care professionals.
* Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards and Guidance as they apply to the role.
* Hold a minimum QQI Level 8 qualification in Psychology AND
* Have an Irish post-graduate qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in clinical, counselling or educational psychology or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical psychology post grad and a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Experience of working with children with complex needs.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and strong command of English.
* Qualifications for this position obtained outside of the Republic of Ireland must be validated at the time of application.
