Our Client, a leading distributor of assembly and test products and service solutions to the medical device and electronics manufacturing sectors in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will have responsibility for all stages of enquiry, proposal preparation/submission, and ensuring that best practice processes are adhered to.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in order to generate new business for the organisation.
2. Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively selling the assembly and test equipment solutions and services through a face-to-face relationship-based approach.
3. Identify new opportunities.
4. Build customer loyalty through effectively meeting customer’s requirements.
5. Increase market share in MDM and Electronics markets.
6. Manage your own diary to ensure your meeting planning and scheduling maximises your effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 2-3 years technical/engineering sales experience.
2. Knowledge of medical device or electronics manufacturing.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Excellent organisational time-management skills.
5. Proficient in use of all MS Office products.
6. Must have an ability to work on own initiative.
This role will be 3 to 4 days on the road visiting customers and 1 to 2 days office-based.
