You will report to the E&I Production Manager/Supervisors and play a key role in the electrical wiring and mechanical assembly of LV/HV switchgear and control panels. Key Responsibilities: Assembling electrical switchgear and related electromechanical equipment based on engineering drawings and production schedules. Maintaining high-quality standards both in the factory and at customer premises. Working from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure precise assembly. Contribute to the fitting, building, and construction of various parts for seamless component integration. Conducting mechanical and electrical maintenance, including site modifications and thermal imaging inspections. Ensuring a clean, safe working environment while adhering to company policies and procedures. Performing testing of panels, including current injection testing. Supporting and mentoring team members, sharing technical expertise and best practices. Reporting on any substandard, malfunctioning, or defective parts. Selecting, measuring and modifying components to ensure proper fit. Carrying out MTOs and order materials for allocated tasks, both internally and for site works. Assembling prototype and development units in collaboration with supervisors and managers. Conducting thermal imaging inspections and compile reports. Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience: City & Guilds Electrical Qualification & an Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or Equivalent. Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar. Experience in field service work / on-site installations. Current 18th Edition Certification. Time-served Electricians or Technicians. Experience in panel wiring of PLCs, motor control centres, control panels OR Industrial installation experience in water treatment plants, petrochemical environments, MCCs, instrumentation, etc. Desirable Skills, Qualification and Experience: Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous. Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements. In addition to the criteria outlined above, we're looking for individuals with proven experience in the assembly of both mechanical and electrical equipment, including electromechanical systems. You should possess strong electro-mechanical skills, a solid understanding of engineering tools and electrical hand tools-including torquing equipment-and demonstrate a mature, practical approach to engineering tasks. A positive attitude, flexibility to work overtime when required, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
